Plain weave is the most common and widely used weaving method for stainless steel wire mesh. In this structure, each warp wire alternately passes over and under each weft wire, forming a simple and uniform square mesh pattern.
This type of weave provides good stability, accurate mesh openings and a smooth surface. Because of its balanced structure, plain weave mesh is suitable for general filtration and sieving applications.

Twill weave is produced when each warp wire passes over two weft wires and then under two weft wires. This pattern creates a diagonal structure that allows the mesh to use thicker wires while still maintaining a high mesh count.
Compared with plain weave, twill weave wire mesh offers higher strength and better wear resistance. It is commonly used for heavy-duty filtration or applications that require stronger mesh structures.

Unlike plain or twill weave meshes, Dutch weave does not form square openings. Instead, it creates a compact structure that offers very high filtration accuracy and excellent particle retention capability.
